UConn, Cincinnati on deck

Shabazz Napier and the Huskies go through some pre-game stretches Wednesday night at Gampel Pavilion prior to their game against Cincinnati.

We’re a few minutes before tipoff here at Gampel Pavilion between UConn and Cincinnati. A couple of quick notes before they get going:

— There was no last-minute reprieve for Ryan Boatright. The freshman guard will miss his second straight game as the NCAA and UConn investigate his eligibility _ again.

— The Huskies will keep the same starting lineup they used in the Notre Dame win. DeAndre Daniels will start at small forward, joining PG Shabazz Napier, SG Jeremy Lamb, PF Alex Oriakhi and C Andre Drummond.

— Reserve C Enosch Wolf was also not in uniform, though he’s not hurt.

It seems the Huskies have another eligibility issue on their hands.

Wolf has yet to take a pair of final exams, it seems. He suffered a concussion just before he was about to take them.

A UConn official said he will have his academic issues cleared up in time for the Huskies’ game at Tennessee Saturday.

Wolf has played in just four games this season, appearing for a total of five minutes.

— Daniels (ankle) and PF Tyler Olander (heel) appear fine and ready to go full speed.
