Calhoun “resting comfortably”

UConn coach Jim Calhoun was “resting comfortably” Sunday according to the school after having successful surgery on his left hip Saturday night in Farmington.

Calhoun was injured Saturday afternoon when he crashed his bicycle during a ride near his vacation home in Madison. Calhoun missed the charity all-star game that bears his name Saturday night.

The 70-year-old coach is expected to be released from the hospital in a the “next few days”, the school announced.
