Running toward the Bulls

UConn coach Kevin Ollie spent a few minutes with the media Saturday as his Huskies get ready for Sunday’s game against USF.

— OLLIE SAYS THAT Tyler Olander (flue) and Ryan Boatright (ankle) should be fine for tomorrow’s game.

“Ryan’s OK,” Ollie said.

“(Olander) seems good today,” Ollie said.

The coach reports that Olander slept in a bit in Friday but did attend his classes as usual.

— THE HUSKIES did not practice Friday but returned to the court Saturday morning.

“Practice was good today,” Ollie said. “We did a couple box-out drills.”

Ollie likes his team’s attitude lately.

“They’re learning how to win, which is a good thing,” Ollie said.

— IN CASE YOU missed it, here’s today’s UConn coverage from the JI, a feature on Omar Calhoun in advance of Sunday’s game.

— OLLIE HAD some positive comments about USF.

“They’re a great defensive team,” Ollie said. “They hold you down. We’re going to have to be patient.”

On PG Anthony Collins: “I’ve never seen anybody dribble as low as he does.”
